Registering a domain with Addis Hosting is simple. Search for your desired domain name on our search page, select the extension you want (like .com, .net, or .et), choose your registration period (1-3 years), and pay in Ethiopian Birr through Chapa. Your domain is registered within minutes through our ICANN-accredited registrar, Dynadot. No technical knowledge is required.

Domain prices vary by extension (TLD). Popular extensions like .com start from around 500 ETB per year. All prices on Addis Hosting are displayed in Ethiopian Birr with no hidden fees. Multi-year registrations come with automatic discounts: 5% off for 2 years and 10% off for 3 years. Visit our pricing page to see current prices for all 500+ extensions.

We accept all major Ethiopian payment methods through Chapa, including Telebirr, CBE Birr, M-Pesa, Awash Birr, Amole, and more. You can also pay by bank transfer or card. All payments are processed securely in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) with no currency conversion needed.

Domain transfers are coming soon. Currently, we support new domain registrations and renewals. If you have a domain registered elsewhere that you would like to transfer, please contact our support team and we will notify you as soon as the transfer feature is available.

Once your domain is registered, log in to your Addis Hosting portal dashboard. Navigate to your domain and click the DNS Records tab. From there you can add, edit, or delete A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, and TXT records. Changes typically propagate across the internet within a few hours.

WHOIS privacy (also called domain privacy) hides your personal contact information from public WHOIS lookups. Without it, anyone can see the name, email, phone number, and address associated with your domain. Addis Hosting offers both full and partial WHOIS privacy protection at no extra cost. You can enable or change your privacy settings at any time from your domain management dashboard.

Log in to your Addis Hosting portal, go to your domains list, and click the Renew button next to the domain you want to renew. You will see the renewal price, confirm the renewal, and pay through Chapa. Your domain expiry date is extended immediately after payment is confirmed. We also send email reminders at 30, 7, and 1 day before your domain expires.
